The Shields Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a  56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pleasant Home. Shields has not had much luck with Pleasant Home recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Dante Leffall, who  scored 13 points along with six  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Adrian Watts, who  scored five points along with 14  rebounds and two  blocks.
 Shields has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost seven of their last nine matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Pleasant Home,  the  win  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 14-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shields will take on Red Level at 7:00  p.m.  on Saturday. One thing working in Red Level's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last six matchups. Pleasant Home won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Straughn at 7:15  p.m.  on January 19th.
