There's no place like home for Quapaw, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Colcord Hornets 12-2 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

Hayden Radford made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base.

In other batting news, Jace Gregory was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Cooper Welch was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Quapaw always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Quapaw's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Colcord, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Quapaw beat Colcord by a score of 4-2 later that day.
