William Floyd walked away with a 51-39 victory over Sachem East on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as William Floyd also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
William Floyd was led to victory by Kayla Gilmore and Jacqueline Sutherland. Gilmore scored 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds, while Sutherland scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The contest was Gilmore's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Kayden Meyer was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
William Floyd's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Sachem East, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Walt Whitman the next time they take the court. William Floyd will host Walt Whitman at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, while Sachem East will head out to face them at 5:45 p.m. on January 25th.
