Ascent Classical Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Colberg, who went 6 of 14 to rack up 17 points. Colberg is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Hutchins, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rocky Mountain Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abraham Rivas, who went 10 of 22 en route to 23 points in addition to five assists and four steals. What's more, Rivas also posted a 45% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in February of 2024. Blake Harris was another key player, going 8 for 19 to rack up 21 points and three steals.
Ascent Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ascent Classical Academy will head out to face off against Golden View Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Golden View Classical Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Ascent Classical Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to take on Weldon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
