Basketball Recap: Provo Skates Past Timpanogos with Ease

Provo had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 29-point drubbing they dealt Timpanogos on Friday. The Provo Bulldogs took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-37 win over the Timpanogos Timberwolves. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Provo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sutton Villa, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points and six boards. Villa is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Tessa Deucher was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Provo pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28 points. As for Timpanogos, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Provo will venture away from home to face off against Payson at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Payson will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Provo surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timpanogos, they will host Mountain View at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
