Even though the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs still came out on top. UMS-Wright Prep secured a 67-62 W over Cottage Hill Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for UMS-Wright Prep.
Despite the loss, Cottage Hill Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Clay Scofield, who scored 39 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Scofield's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Metzner, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
UMS-Wright Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, their loss ended a 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3.
UMS-Wright Prep will be home for the holidays to greet St. Paul's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cottage Hill Christian Academy is on the road again on Thursday and play against Theodore at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th.
