The Miller Grove Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Westminster Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Miller Grove has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while the Wildcats will arrive with three straight wins.
Miller Grove lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a rough 72-49 defeat at the hands of Holy Innocents Episcopal. While losing is never fun, Miller Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while the Golden Bears are ranked 55th).
Meanwhile, even though Stephenson scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Westminster still came out on top. Westminster walked away with a 66-57 win over the Jaguars.
Miller Grove dropped their record down to 2-19 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westminster, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Miller Grove might still be hurting after the 67-45 defeat they got from the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in January. Will Miller Grove have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
