The Calvary Christian Knights were the 63-33 winner over the Springwood Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Calvary Christian fell just short of Springwood by a score of 42-40.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emily Carstarphen, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Elizabeth reed, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Calvary Christian bumped their record down to 4-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19 points. As for Springwood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Calvary Christian will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Springwood, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Konos Academy at 4:30 p.m. Konos Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
