Blackman extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 3-1. Everything went their way against the Franklin County Rebels as they made off with a 14-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blaze, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lilliana Acosta made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Acosta was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Khloe Kolb was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Sullivan, who went 2-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base.
Blackman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters every time they've taken the field this season.
As for Franklin County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.
On Franklin County's side, Leah Hardison made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Hardison has launched this season. Kaitlyn Montgomery was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Blackman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Eagleville on the 18th. As for Franklin County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 victory against Rockvale on the 17th.
