White Plains has gone a perfect 7-0 against Ossining recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Pride at 4:00 p.m. White Plains will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Ossining's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: White Plains hadn't allowed a single run the last seven times they've hit the field. The Tigers never let Greeley get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Ava Galligani was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Riley Keane also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
White Plains hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ossining made easy work of Port Chester on Wednesday and carried off an 18-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Pride in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.
Mia-Vasaliki Wilkins was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Wilkins was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Ossining got a massive performance out of Leaila Alexander, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Lindsay Saich was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
White Plains' victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.8 runs this season. As for Ossining, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
White Plains took their win against Ossining when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pride turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
