That's another feather in the cap for Roanoke Valley Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Jeremy Chou, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Logan Gutierrez was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Roanoke Valley Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Craig County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roanoke Valley Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Isiah Keep and Chou. Craig County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
