The Crystal Springs Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They skirted past Magee 69-67. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Crystal Springs.
Despite the loss, Magee still got an impressive performance from Nicole Sandifer, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Sandifer's 19th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saphira Troney, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Magee were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. This was only their tenth loss (out of 15 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Crystal Springs' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Magee, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crystal Springs will take on Jefferson Davis County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson Davis County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Crystal Springs in Mississippi (Jefferson Davis County is ranked 41st, while Crystal Springs is ranked 207th). As for Magee, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Seminary at 6:00 p.m.
