The Palmer Moose will head out on the road to face off against the Colony Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Palmer is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Houston, who was ranked 24th at the time (Palmer was ranked 15th). The Moose blew past the Hawks 19-9 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Moose.

Jane Meals was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrie Stocker, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.
Palmer kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Colony, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over Palmer on Monday. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Alexis Congdon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Morgan Gallagher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Colony is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Palmer, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Palmer suffered a grim 19-2 defeat to Colony in their previous meeting on Monday. Can the Moose avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
