Washington has gone a perfect 10-0 against Spring Mills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Washington will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Mills at 7:00 p.m. Washington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Washington not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 20, 2024. They blew past Hedgesville 13-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
Zoe Kesterson made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordan Clayton, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Bibb, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Like Washington, Spring Mills also got a great game from a two-way player: Taryn Close. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Close was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Allyson Selby made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Washington pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Spring Mills, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Everything went Washington's way against Spring Mills in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Washington made off with a 25-1 win. Will Washington repeat their success, or does Spring Mills has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
