The Panguitch Bobcats can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. Everything went their way against Escalante as Panguitch made off with a 68-45 victory. The win was nothing new for Panguitch as they're now sitting on six straight.
Panguitch's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Remme Chappell, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Parkin, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Escalante's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Gardner, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Panguitch's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Escalante, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Panguitch will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Buffalos at 7:00 p.m. As for Escalante, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Freedom Prep Academy is ranked 139th, while the Moquis are ranked 126th).
