The Lancers made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from fifth to second place in the league thanks to a 1-2 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile,
New Fairfield fell hardest in the standings, dropping from second all the way to fifth place after going 0-3 in the past week. First-place Weston (8-6, 6-4) went 2-1 over the past week.
Weston, the league leader in stolen bases this season with 42, added to its lead in that category with 13 more steals over the past week.
Jim Sanzone's eight steals make him the biggest threat on the basepaths for the Trojans, which is running wild under the direction of manager Frank Fedeli.
Weston's pitchers have displayed incredible control over the past week and all season, giving up just four walks over the past seven days and 39 on the year. Both are No. 1 in the league.
