Oakland lost to Mount Juliet back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Oakland Patriots walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Mount Juliet Golden Bears.

Kyleigh Higgs made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Higgs was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alli Monnin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bella Kirby, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Oakland's win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Oakland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-3 loss against Coffee County Central on the 6th. As for Mount Juliet, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Siegel on the 6th.
