Notre Dame has gone 9-1 against Castilleja recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Regents will be playing at home against the Gators at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Notre Dame has three straight wins, Castilleja has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, Notre Dame got the win against El Camino by a conclusive 13-3. The Regents might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Anya Shah made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kamille Beals was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Alex Vera was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Notre Dame was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .567. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Castilleja came up short against South San Francisco on Friday, falling 21-4.
Katherine Cheng was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two stolen bases.
Notre Dame pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Castilleja, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
Notre Dame took their victory against Castilleja in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 17-6 score. Do the Regents have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
