After four games on the road, Tilden is heading back home. They will take on the Gage Park Fighting Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Tilden won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were outmatched by Horizon Science Academy-Southwest on the road and fell 104-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tilden has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Tilden struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Horizon Science Academy-Southwest posted 27 assists.
Meanwhile, Gage Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 79-46 loss at the hands of DuSable. Gage Park has not had much luck with DuSable recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Tilden has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Gage Park, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Tilden strolled past Gage Park in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 54-38. Does Tilden have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gage Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
