The Loranger Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Fontainebleau Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Loranger lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 68-32 loss at the hands of Parkview Baptist. While losing is never fun, Loranger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Parkview Baptist is ranked 65th).
Meanwhile, Fontainebleau ended up a good deal behind Slidell on Tuesday and lost 66-50. Fontainebleau has not had much luck with Slidell recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Loranger dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Fontainebleau, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.
Loranger took their win against Fontainebleau when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 82-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loranger since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
