Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool got the win against the Christian Academy of Louisiana Crusaders on Friday by a conclusive 17-2. Considering Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool has won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Branson Fruge made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grayson Johnson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Landon Fruge, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Christian Academy of Louisiana, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool will venture away from home to square off against Good Samaritan HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Good Samaritan HomeSchool will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christian Academy of Louisiana, they will host Christian Home Educators Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Academy of Louisiana's pitchers better be ready for this one: Christian Home Educators Fellowship has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
