Poth moved up to 521 from 562 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A-2 Region IV District 15. The Pirates climbed the ranks as a result of topping Stockdale 34-6.
Poth extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Brahmas, 34-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Dilley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Will Urban threw for 161 and three touchdowns and Sabby Torres had 61 yards receiving. On the ground Urban chipped in 158 yards. Orlando Bernal helped Dilley's passing attack out by catching three balls for 60 yards.
The Wolves' Urban and Torres have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Urban has thrown for 637 yards this season, while Torres has 13 catches for 210 yards. Matthew Valadez from Stockdale leads the league in rushing with 1061 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Pirates take on Karnes City. Poth has allowed 91 points this season, while the Badgers have given up 56.
