The Crawford Colts''s game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Mission Bay by a score of 26-14. The win was all the more spectacular given Crawford's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Mission Bay is ranked 224th).
Joseph Minchello continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 186 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Crawford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Isaiah Mcpherson and his two sacks.
Crawford's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-3. As for Mission Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crawford will square off against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Hoover knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Crawford likes a good challenge. As for Mission Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against Scripps Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
