The Loomis Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. The win was some much needed relief for Loomis as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Cale Nelson, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Zac Rademaker was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Loomis' victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they bumped their record down to 4-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loomis will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Anselmo-Merna at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th. Anselmo-Merna is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they will head out on the road to face off against Gibbon at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
