Glory For Christ - East recap Sept. 26, 2012
Anderson Cavaliers moved up to 199 from 436 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Glory For Christ - East. The Cavaliers climbed the ranks as a result of a 42-32 win over Camden Military.
Skipstone Academy took down Paulding Panthers 47-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Alex Snider in the win.
Darius Williams was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 105 yards on 10 carries as Georgia Force bested Augusta Prep Day. Teammate Andrew Justus added to the ground attack by rushing for 10 yards.
McBee was the best wideout in the league this week as the Blue Knights defeated Augusta Prep Day. McBee racked up two receptions for 35 yards. Blake Tate helped Georgia Force's passing attack out by catching one ball for 15 yards.
Anderson Cavaliers' Davis Cousar and Danny Waldsmith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Glory For Christ - East in both passing and receiving yards. Cousar has thrown for 693 yards this season, while Waldsmith has 13 catches for 244 yards. Georgia Force's Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 335.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when East Atlanta takes on Michael Cousar's team. At the moment, the Mustangs are in first, while the Cavaliers are in third.
Skipstone Academy led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on the Panthers. Snider in the win.
