With a playoff game on the line, the Pine Raiders rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against Avoyelles as Pine made off with a 28-6 victory. The score was close at the half, but Pine pulled away in the second half with 21 points.
The victory (which was Pine's third in a row) raised their record to 10-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.67 points. As for Avoyelles, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Pine will take on Sterlington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sterlington is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Avoyelles does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
