Softball Recap: Bells Has No Trouble Against Leonard

Bells's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Leonard Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Bells is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Leonard, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-19.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bells will take on rival Gunter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3, the Tigers 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Leonard is set to square off against their familiar foe Howe at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
