The Miller Rustlers will head out on the road to face off against the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Miller had just enough and edged Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] out 33-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Miller.
Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat McCook Central/Montrose 65-32 at home.
Miller pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Miller came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 46-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miller since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
