The Richland Colts fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Rothsay 60-46 on Saturday. With that victory, Richland brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Richland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Mjoness, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Casyn Syvertsen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Richland's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Rothsay, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland will face off against Oakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rothsay's road trip will continue as they head out to face Battle Lake at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd.
