Lincoln High's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aniyah Hicks-robinson led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hicks-robinson has scored at least 25% of Lincoln High's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayana Owens, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after only 23 points in their last matchup, Kearney made sure to put some points up on the board against Omaha Northwest on Saturday. Kearney simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Omaha Northwest 71-36 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Kearney has managed all season.
Lincoln High's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-5. As for Kearney, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.
