Dunellen is 10-0 against Timothy Christian since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Dunellen Destroyers will be playing in front of their home fans against Timothy Christian at 4:00 p.m. Dunellen will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
On Monday, Dunellen didn't have too much trouble with South Amboy on the road as they won 35-19. Given Dunellen's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while South Amboy is ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dunellen found their leader in underclassman Brielle Villanueva-Jadotte, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and two steals. Villanueva-Jadotte continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Wendy Woll was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Timothy Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Mother Seton on Saturday, taking the game 41-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Timothy Christian.
Dunellen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Timothy Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Dunellen beat Timothy Christian 41-34 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Dunellen repeat their success, or does Timothy Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
