The Central Hawks had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Taylor County by a score of 66-57 on Friday. The victory was just what Central needed coming off of a 75-51 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Semaji Copeland, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Demarcus White, who scored 16 points.
When it comes to explaining why Taylor County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brayden Ellison. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Duncan Jarajnik was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Taylor County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.
Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Taylor County also has no future games currently scheduled.
