The Arapahoe Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Maxwell Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Arapahoe lost to Blue Hill at home by a 55-38 margin. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Arapahoe's defeat came about despite a quality game from Gage Gooden, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gooden a new career-high in points.
Even though they lost, Arapahoe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Maxwell had to endure a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They blew past Brady 61-41 on Saturday. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Arapahoe better focus on containing Jesse Reyes and Cole Huffman as the pair were huge in Maxwell's win. Reyes went 8 of 14 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and five steals, while Huffman went 8 of 17 on his way to 21 points. Reyes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaquin Vega, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.
Maxwell's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Arapahoe has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Maxwell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Arapahoe strolled past Maxwell in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 62-46. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Huffman, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 22 points. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Arapahoe still be able to contain Huffman? There's only one way to find out.
