The Seminole Warhawks can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Northeast and snuck past 25-22. The victory was just what Seminole needed coming off of a 44-24 loss in their prior game.
Seminole was led to victory by Devon Swartz and Laney Pearson. Swartz scored eight points along with five rebounds and three blocks, while Pearson scored eight points along with seven rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Pearson has scored at least 25% of Seminole's points.
Seminole's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Northeast, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seminole will take on Clearwater at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Clearwater presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Seminole in Florida (Clearwater is ranked 167th, while Seminole is ranked 441st). As for Northeast, they will be playing at home against Dunedin at 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
