Strongsville dropped down to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 55-21 loss at the hands of the Mentor Cardinals. The Mustangs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
As for Mentor, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Jackson Farley, who rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Farley is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Braylon Callahan was another key rusher, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of scores.
