Bellingham is 0-3 against Ursuline Academy since May of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Blackhawks will challenge the Bears at 3:45 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bellingham took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Holliston, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blackhawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Panthers on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.

Trista Corshia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ashley Kamin, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Cassidy Leger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Ursuline Academy beat O'Bryant 8-4 on Wednesday. With that win, the Bears brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Emersyn Smart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Celia Mitchell was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abigail Kirk, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.
The victory got Ursuline Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Bellingham, their record is now 7-8.
