The Rittman Indians will head out on the road to  square off against  the Waynedale Golden Bears at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the pair posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
 Rittman took a loss when they played away from home  on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They came out on top against Orrville by a score of  10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The result was nothing new for Rittman, who have now won five games by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
  Lillian Halliwell was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Halliwell was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news, Rittman let  Allison Hollabaugh and  Olivia Csirmaz loose on the outfield. Hollabaugh  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3, while  Csirmaz  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  Ariel Daughtery was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Waynedale had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Thursday as Waynedale made off with  a  14-3 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory Waynedale has managed all season.
 Like Rittman, Waynedale also got a great game from a two-way player:  Brooke Compston. On the mound, she  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Compston was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-3 with four  RBI and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  Brayleigh Mast was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Nevaeh Persinger, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Rittman's record now sits at 6-10. As for Waynedale, their record is now 4-9.
Waynedale's pitching crew has a tough task ahead of them:  Rittman has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 10  hits per game. It's a different story for Waynedale, though, as  they've been averaging 12.1. Given Rittman's sizable advantage in that area, Waynedale will need to find a way to close that gap.
