Fountain-Fort Carson extended their losing streak  to three  on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-7. They fell  33-23 to the Air Academy Kadets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kadets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  12-6  on September 8th.
As for Air Academy, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.5 points on average over those games.
 Air Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Nadia Anderson, who threw for 199 yards and three  touchdowns.  Edyn Griffis was another key rusher, gaining 98 total yards.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fountain-Fort Carson will  square off against  rival Doherty  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Air Academy is set to  take on  their familiar foe Coronado  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Kadets 14.2, the Cougars 14.9) so any  points scored will be well earned.
