While losing is never fun, Liberty Christian Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 796th, while HEART HomeSchool is ranked 317th).
When it comes to explaining why Liberty Christian Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Frerking. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Frerking is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Connor Bass was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Liberty Christian Prep's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for HEART HomeSchool, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian Prep has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Family Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th. Family Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for HEART HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
