The Oakwood Panthers's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 58-50 victory over Trinidad. For Oakwood, this counts as revenge for the 36-29 loss Trinidad walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Oakwood found their leader in underclassman Dayden Velasquez, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarvis Jones, who scored ten points.
Oakwood's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Trinidad, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11.
Oakwood will take on Milford at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinidad, they will head out on the road to challenge Bynum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
