Jordan is 0-6 against Murray since March of 2024 but things could change on Monday. The Beetdiggers will be playing at home against the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Jordan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Park City 19-3 on Thursday. The Beetdiggers have beaten the Miners the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Miners has come to flipping the script.

Kimani Archibeque made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Jordan got a big performance out of Michelle Short, who earned three RBI and three runs. Those three runs gave Short a new career-high. Ellianna Douglas was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Park City only posted an OBP of .286.
Murray hadn't beaten Olympus on the road since May 3, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 12-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like Jordan, Murray also got a great game from a two-way player: Summer Stewart. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Stewart was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Maddie Bigelow was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Zaylee Winterhalder, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Murray's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Jordan, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jordan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Murray struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Jordan suffered a grim 21-6 defeat to Murray when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Beetdiggers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
