Penns Grove (Carneys Point, N.J.) beat Schalick (Pittsgrove, N.J.) 60-0 on the strength of a superb game by dual threat quarterback
Nick Elmer, who threw two touchdown passes while running for four more.
The Red Devils were up 38-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Elmer touchdown run in the first quarter.
Penns Grove expanded its lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. PG scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Elmer.
The Carneys Point school came into the game allowing 5.2 points per game. The zero points that the Cougars ended with were well below their average of 10.8 coming into the game.
A 24-2 Penns Grove victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Schalick defeated Wildwood 32-20 last week.
Penns Grove (6-0) goes up against Deptford in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Schalick (2-4) locks horns with Salem also in a non-conference game.
