The Park Crossing Thunderbirds came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 69-56 win over Pike Road. Given Park Crossing's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Pike Road is ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Park Crossing had a senior duo take command as Jayden Scott scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals and Caden Anderson-teal dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Scott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacari Johnson, who scored 14 points.
Park Crossing has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Pike Road, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
Park Crossing does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pike Road also has no future games currently scheduled.
