Chapel Hill extended their postseason success on Friday against Davenport. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over the Wolves. Chapel Hill might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Rickey Stewart and Barrett Fallon. Stewart had a great game and rushed for 220 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Fallon did his best for the losing side, gaining 113 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Anna waltzed into their game Friday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They came out on top against Decatur by a score of 38-27. Given Anna's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Decatur is ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Anna got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ziondre Williams out in front who threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Edward Chumley, who rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns.
Chapel Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Anna, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
