The Columbus East Olympians were the 61-48 winner over the Brownstown Central Braves when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Columbus East was dealt a 52-23 defeat at the hands of Brownstown Central on Tuesday. Columbus East just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Columbus East's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Messiah Trapp, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds. Makenzie Cheek was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Columbus East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Brownstown Central, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus East is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Bloomington North at 12:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Bloomington North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Brownstown Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Scottsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Scottsburg will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
