Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Taylor Schmidt stepped things up a notch to give Independence the 'W'. Schmidt turned in her biggest game of the season, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Schmidt and Independence will be playing at home against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
