Central is 6-0 against Science Park since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Central Blue Devils will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Science Park Chargers at 3:00 p.m. Central will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Central took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 70-37 victory over Bard. That 70-37 margin sets a new team best for Central this season.
Michael Anderson was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six steals and five assists. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mejwad Dixon, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Science Park came up short against West Caldwell Tech on Thursday and fell 52-42. Science Park has struggled against West Caldwell Tech recently, as their contest on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Science Park, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.
Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Science Park in their previous meeting back in February, winning 58-47. Will Central repeat their success, or does Science Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
