Sound Christian hasn't had much luck against Auburn Adventist recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Sound Christian Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Auburn Adventist Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sound Christian comes in on six and Auburn Adventist on five.
Sound Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Pope John Paul II to the tune of 80-25 on Monday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season.

Makai Resseau was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 17 on his way to 23 points and three steals. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moses Stiver, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.
Sound Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Auburn Adventist back in December of 2024. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Concrete out of the water with a 91-41 final score. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.
Auburn Adventist found their leader in sophomore John Andrew Dubreuil, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Samuels, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and four steals.
Sound Christian's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.8 points. As for Auburn Adventist, their record is now 5-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Sound Christian and Auburn Adventist are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Sound Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 71.3 points per game. However, it's not like Auburn Adventist struggles in that department as they've been averaging 65.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Sound Christian came up short against Auburn Adventist when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 60-48. Can Sound Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
