The Einstein Titans took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past McLean 62-37.
Despite the loss, McLean still got an impressive performance from Eros Marchello, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. Marchello scored a full 75.7% of McLean's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Nathan Galeone was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 3 blocks.
Einstein's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for McLean, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Einstein will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on December 21st. McLean is on the road again on Thursday and play against Georgetown Day at 5:45 p.m. on December 14th.
