Wilson Academy on the road again on Friday and play against the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th. Wilson Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 417 points over their last six matches.
Wilson Academy pushed their score all the way to 60 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-60 to Legacy Early College. While losing is never fun, Wilson Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 86th in Georgia, while Legacy Early College is ranked 23rd in South Carolina).
Meanwhile, Hargrave Military Academy pushed their score all the way to 72 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carlisle.
Hargrave Military Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Dante Kearse, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 22 rebounds. Kearse has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Hammock, who scored 17 points.
Wilson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Hargrave Military Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
